Pools of secrets

The sun peeped over the hills, splitting clouds into a frenzy of radiant light.. as tiny islands lit all across the sky.. squirrels flounced up and down the trees, visions of cuteness, flashes of speed.. trees expressed their love for Earth, showering flowers on the ground.. palms throwing their fronds for a gentle sweep.. stray dogs lazed around inured to their surroundings.. cats moved stealthily with pools of secrets glinting in their eyes.. temple bells tolled, with gongs ringing in-between.. people bowed passing by, at the image of the divinity within.. while beggars lined outside, dismissed and ignored.. a white dove flew down as if to condone the lessons learnt only when ready.
