Garden cinderellas

The birds unseen in the protection of the lush tree, their incessantly loud chirp-talk, the only sign of their invisible addresses..

flowers swung exhilaratedly on heavily-laden branches.. looking at mangoes hang temptingly..

papayas and coconuts watched from their high perch, in clustered protest..

bougainvillea flowered and bloomed all around, garden cinderellas writing their own fairy tale, wearing pink, white, purple, yellow, orange and magenta gowns.. brightening the world with their radiant flounce..

bowing to the cows in tan, white and black.. admiring their regal walk with horns held high, shaking their belled and beaded necks.. unaware of their sacred status, nor of their humble and gentle presence..

Hopscotch

Silence danced with the wind,  flying with the parrots,  hearing the crow regale tales of discriminatory woes..  tip-toeing over rosy fields...
